Judicial review campaign fund launched

On Valentines Day 2017 Liverpool City Council’s planning committee approved Redrow’s planning application to build on the Harthill Estate. But the fight goes on.

Following legal advice, the Save Harthill and Calderstones campaign committee met On 26th February 2017 and agreed investigate taking legal action to overturn the planning permission.

It was decided to continue the campaign as a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, as launching this legal campaign didn’t fit with the terms of reference under which the Friends of Harthill and Cadlerstones Park charity had been established.

This company, to be called “Liverpool Open and Green Spaces”, is currently being established, and will continue the existing campaigning and fundraising efforts, as well as being responsible for the proposed Judicial Review against Liverpool City Council’s decision to grant planning permission on the Harthill Estate.
